I. Business Registration

As of the end of 2023, the number of registered factories stood at 1,947. Among them, the metal product manufacturing industry comprised 480 establishments, accounting for 24.65% and securing the top position. The non-metallic mineral product manufacturing industry held 213 establishments, constituting 10.94% and securing the second position, while the machinery equipment manufacturing industry had 199 establishments, making up 10.22% and securing the third position.

The tally of registered businesses reached 33,091, with an aggregate registered capital of NT$5.090.761 billion. Among diverse industries, wholesale and retail businesses numbered 17,877, representing 51.94% and ranking first; construction engineering businesses numbered 3,206, constituting 10.13% and securing the second position; and manufacturing businesses numbered 3,145, comprising 9.17% and securing the third position.

The registered companies totaled 8,635, with a cumulative registered capital of NT$299.658 billion. Across various industries, manufacturing businesses accounted for 2,412, making up 27.93% and securing the top position; construction engineering businesses numbered 1,690, representing 19.57% and securing the second position; and wholesale and retail trade businesses numbered 776, constituting 8.99% and securing the third position.

II. Promoting Renewable Energy

In fiscal year 112, the installed capacity of renewable energy (solar photovoltaic, wind, geothermal, and biomass) reached 959,000 kilowatts, generating approximately 239.84 million kilowatt-hours and mitigating around 1.187 million tons of CO2 emissions.
