Agriculture Affairs Section    

  1. Rice crop production and marketing, management of rice seedlings.
  2. Counselling for fruit trees, vegetables, flowers, grains, special crops, beekeeping and tea industry.
  3. Administrative management of fertilizers and promotion of organic fertilizers.
  4. Promotion of organic farming, agriculture-friendly environment, production and sales history, and traceability of agricultural produce. 
  5. Agricultural survey and relief for agriculture natural disaster. 
  6. Administrative management of pesticide, plant protection, pollution surveillance, safe chemical use and school nutrition lunch affairs. 
  7. Processing of agricultural produce, counselling for agricultural machinery, production and sales teams, farm and seedling management. 
  8. Value-adding of farmlands, promotion of creative and green use of farmlands.
  9. Farmland management, including changes to agricultural land use, permissible usage, agricultural certificates and application of farmhouse building. 
  10. Promotion of spatial planning of agricultural land resources.

Forestry Section    

  1. Road tree planting, landscaping and weeding.
  2. Management of public and private forests; production and marketing counselling of forestry products. 
  3. Management of county-owned forests.
  4. Management of Miaoli Government owned tree banks, seed nursery and seedlings.
  5. Reward for afforestation.
  6. Prevention and control of foreign invasive species. 
  7. Management of forest registry, forest disasters, loan for afforestation, permit and usage of forestry lands. 
  8. Funding scheme for the development and utilization of hillside lands.
  9. Value appraisal of agricultural and forestry crops.
  10. Violation of the Forestry Act
  11. Salvage and transportation of driftwood after natural disasters.

Fishery Section    

  1. Production rewards and subsidies for offshore, shallow, coastal and freshwater fisheries, review and certificate issue, value appraisal and promotion of aquaculture products. 
  2. Cooperate with the Fisheries Agency on the auditing and supervision of aquaculture affairs.
  3. Management of the construction and modification of fishing vessels (under 20 tons), fishing vessel license renewal and issue, fuel management for fishing vessels.
  4. Fishery and fishing harbor management plan; review and approval of budget. 
  5. Fishing industry natural disasters, relief and subsidies, loan approval and health insurance subsidies for fishermen. 
  6. Fishery rights registration and designation of fishing harbor zones.
  7. Renewal and issue of fishing vessel crew brochure; management of fishing vessel’s harbor access.
  8. Remediation of fishery disputes.
  9. Collection of fishery survey and statistical data.
  10. Conservation management of fishery resources and control of illegal fishing activities.
  11. Maintenance and management of fishing harbor and dock ancillary facilities, and public facilities on land. 
  12. Fishery facility inspection, subsidy and construction.

Livestock Section    

  1. Livestock facility permits, registration of livestock farms, and power usage authorization and certificates. 
  2. Livestock insurance by Farmer’s Association and evaluation of production and marketing teams. 
  3. Promotion of livestock products and counseling of meat industry.
  4. Investigation of illegal slaughtering and management of dead livestock.
  5. Livestock agricultural survey, disaster investigation and value appraisal operation.
  6. Counseling of livestock breeding technology, disease prevention, feed and crop production and management of livestock/poultry import/export and tax reduction. 
  7. Livestock farm pollution prevention and counseling for construction of livestock/poultry facilities.

Wildlife and Nature Section    

  1. Rescue, containment, release and hazard prevention of wild animals. 
  2. Investigation of violations of the Wild Life Conservation Act.
  3. Registration and inspection of living wild animals and related products.
  4. Investigation of foreign invasive species and removal.
  5. Conservation and follow-up of important natural landscapes in the county. 
  6. Survey of trees that exist outside of county forests and are qualified for preservation and protection. 
  7. Organize wildlife conservation seminars and advocacy activities.
  8. Recruit and train ecological conservation volunteers and guides.

Farmer’s and Fishermen’s Association Counselling Section

  1. Counselling of Farmer/Fishermen’s Association affairs and Credit Department affairs.
  2. Counselling of farmer and occupational hazard insurance affair services by the Farmer’s Association. 
  3. Counselling of innovative agriculture presentation and marketing activities by the Farmer’s Association.
  4. Counselling of household activities (gender equality, home education, volunteer) and promotion of 4H activities. 
  5. Farmer and Fishermen’s Association re-election affairs.

Recreational Agriculture Section

  1. Maintenance and improvement of farm roads outside of farmland redevelopment zones. 
  2. Farm road reconstruction and recovery from disasters. 
  3. Review and approval of applications for recreational farms, capacity permits for recreational facilities, and inspection of recreational farms.
  4. Counseling for the development of recreational farm lands, recreational agricultural construction, and development of recreational agriculture in the county. 
  5. Farm village re-invigoration plans and reconstruction affairs.
