2024 Miaoli County "Children's Outdoor Movie Night" Grand Opening

What does it feel like to watch a movie under the stars? To celebrate Children's Day and promote family relationships, the Miaoli County Government is hosting a series of events to mark "Outdoor Movie Night" on March 30. The event kicks off from 4:00 pm at the Zhunan Sports Park footfall field (next to Li Keyong Memorial Library). County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin invites families to have fun and relax together!

The county government aims to ensure that every parent and child can enjoy Children's Day. The event is also hosting Marvel superhero street dance shows, bubble shows, magic shows, balloon shows, and other activities to entertain families. Children under 12 years of age can get a raffle ticket by presenting their health insurance card! A variety of prizes and giveaways will be on offer, including educational toys, scooters, bicycles, and popcorn. Both adults and children are welcome to come and watch movies and win big prizes!

The highly anticipated outdoor movie night has specially selected the blockbuster cartoon film "Doraemon: Nobita's Sky Utopia". To enhance children’s disaster prevention awareness, the county government has also invited the Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation along with nine outstanding disaster prevention advanced promotion bases nationwide to conduct disaster prevention checkpoint activities at the event, covering important safety topics such as earthquakes, floods, and fires, providing parents and children with the opportunity to learn about disaster prevention and self-rescue skills through games for use in their daily lives. Limited promotional items will be provided to participants who complete this part of the event.

County Magistrate Chung emphasized that in an era of declining birth rates, family education should be particularly valued. This year's Children's Day Outdoor Movie Night not only allows children to participate in cultural and artistic activities but also enhances family relationships so everyone can live together in a happy Miaoli.
