Foodex Japan 2024, renowned as the third largest global event and the largest in Asia, commenced on March 5. With participation from 13 counties and cities in Taiwan, the Miaoli County Government proactively supported farmers in their inaugural participation in the Taiwan Pavilion organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council. Collaborating with eight companies, they promoted renowned products such as Oriental Beauty Tea, Bitter Orange Tea, and Maoli Black Tea. County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin expressed optimism that this exhibition would significantly bolster the international recognition and reputation of Miaoli's specialty teas.

The Miaoli County Government team and farmer groups meticulously prepared for the event, aiming to utilize Foodex Japan 2024 as a platform to showcase quality and facilitate cultural exchange. Viewing the food exhibition as an opportunity to project Miaoli's agricultural image on the global stage, the county government particularly emphasized the promotion of the rich and fragrant Oriental Beauty Tea.

The Agriculture Department of the Miaoli County Government highlighted the importance of maximizing the benefits of participating in the Miaoli Pavilion for exhibitions and marketing. To this end, the county government produced brochures recommending eight companies: TSENG’S Tea, Miaoli City Farmers' Association, Ba Jia Tea Factory, Ri Xin Tea Garden, Deng Guoquan Tea Garden, Chensen Tea House, Han’s Tea Farm, and Chen Pi Tea. These efforts aimed to vigorously promote locally renowned teas such as Oriental Beauty Tea, Bitter Orange Tea, and Maoli Black Tea. During the opening ceremony, County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin and his team also gleaned valuable insights from other counties and countries.

County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin underscored the significance of the county government's participation in the Taiwan Pavilion, organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council. Represented by the "Flavorful Miaoli Pavilion" crafted by the Miaoli County team, the focus remained on the "elegant atmosphere of Oriental Beauty Tea" to showcase the silky tea fragrance from Miaoli to the world. Furthermore, he emphasized the county government's collaboration with the Farmers’ Association and young farmers, aiming not only to exhibit confidence in Miaoli tea, but also attracting guests from various countries to the Miaoli Pavilion for tea tasting. This collaboration sought to seize the opportunity to promote Taiwan's tea culture internationally, thereby establishing the international recognition and reputation of tea from Miaoli.
