Taichung International Travel Fair is about to start, and one of its features will be the “Miaoli Fun Agricultural Tour.” The Miaoli County Government is joining the fair by integrating the ten major recreational agriculture areas in the county to promote coupons for fun agricultural tours, provide a variety of travel information, including picking fruit, DIY experiences, catering, and souvenirs, market farm village attractions, and invite visitors to enjoy a happy, easygoing trip to the Hakka townships of Miaoli.
With beautiful scenery and rich natural and cultural resources, Miaoli County offers exquisite and characteristic agricultural products. The ten recreational agriculture areas in the county have had outstanding performance in the national evaluation and gold medal farm village selection and successfully promote their characteristic agricultural tours. The variety of local agricultural products and interesting farming experiences are suitable for any family to enjoy together.
The 2020 Taichung International Travel Fair will take place at the World Trade Center, Taichung from November 13 to 16. The Miaoli County Recreational Agriculture Development Association and the recreational agriculture areas in the county plan to hold marketing activities to display the characteristic agricultural products, souvenirs, and cultural and creative products of Miaoli, as well as promote coupons for the “Miaoli Fun Agricultural Tour.”
Magistrate Hsu Yao-chang, wife of Legislator Xu Zhi-rong, Wang Hui-zhen, director of the Agriculture Department, Chen Jin-jun, chairman of Miaoli County Recreational Agriculture Development Association, Wen Zheng-xi, and the chairmen and directors of the recreational agriculture areas all attended the promotion this morning, actively encouraging visitors to purchase coupons and enjoy the good time of a slow life in the farm villages of Miaoli.
Magistrate Hsu Yao-chang said that, in recent years, many young farmers have chosen to return to their hometown of Miaoli County, assisted by the promotion of the farm-to-table concept, and have developed innovative products. Each recreational agriculture area shows its specialties. The farm village tours feature natural food, farming experiences, and picking fruit and are promoted together with the scenic attractions of the county. These coupons for certified recreational agricultural products of the highest quality are definitely great deals.
Director of the Agriculture Department, Chen Jin-jun, pointed out that the joint coupons of agricultural tours combine a variety of itineraries. The visitor can enjoy the unique charm of the mountain city of Miaoli, farm village culture, and local cuisine. Each coupon originally priced at NT$300 will be sold at NT$260 during the travel fair. Agricultural tourist information and special discounts will also be available on-site. We encourage all people to visit the travel fair for more goodies.
The “Miaoli Fun Agricultural Tour Coupon” has cooperated with businesses in the recreational agriculture areas, offering the four major categories of services, including 14 fruit-picking experiences, 21 businesses offering 46 DIY experiences, 11 restaurants, and seven souvenir stores. The visitors can use the coupons at these businesses, and the discounts will last until the end of December next year. Those who purchase three or more coupons onsite at the travel fair will be given a bonus cultural and creative gift from Miaoli.
The ten major recreational agriculture areas participating in the fair include Sanwan Lixiang, Fuxing Nanhe, Ginger Garden, Lixiping, Golden Town, Malabang, Hudong, Nanjiang, Shuangtan, and Old Mountain Line.
