Meeting with Foreign Students: Miaoli Police Promotes Prevention of Human Trafficking at Yuda University

On November 2, 2023, Miaoli County Police, led by Deputy Commissioner Zeng Xianchao, visited Yuda University of Science and Technology for a discussion with foreign students. The focus of the meeting was on personal safety of foreign students, promoting awareness about preventing human trafficking, and crime prevention. The attendees were freshmen who had just arrived from Vietnam to study in Taiwan in October. They were not familiar with Taiwan's regulations, so they attentively listened and actively participated in the discussion. After the meeting, everyone gained valuable insights and left with a sense of fulfillment.

Deputy Commissioner Zeng specifically reminded the foreign students about cases of exploitation of foreign labor. If they notice any abnormalities, they should immediately call 1955 or 110 to report the case. Additionally, safety is a major concern for their families back home. Through the content presented by the police, it is hoped that the students' self-protection awareness will be strengthened, ensuring a safe and successful period of study in Taiwan, and eventual return to their home countries with acquired knowledge and skills
