2024-2025 Taiwan Hot Springs – Gold Spring Awards Announced Miaoli Tai'an Hot Springs Recognized at the Prestigious Gold Spring Awards, Winning Four Honors at the "Oscars" of Taiwan’s Hot Spring Industry

The Tourism Administration, MOTC, held the 2024-2025 Taiwan Hot Springs: Gold Spring Awards, where on-site evaluations of expert committee members and the public vote determined the winners across seven award categories. The Miaoli Tai'an Hot Springs won the top prize, the "Top 10 Most Beautiful Hot Springs Award. Scooping four awards overall, it was also recognized in three additional categories, the "Top 5 Recommended Hot Springs for Tourism Award", the "Top 5 Friendly Hot Springs Excellence Award", and the "Top 5 Outstanding Service Hot Springs Excellence Award". The awards were presented at a ceremony attended by Senior Executive Officer Huang Chih-Chun and Chairperson Lee Yu-Hsiu of the Miaoli County Tai'an Hot Springs Tourism Development Association, who expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic support from both locals and visitors nationwide.

 

With a history spanning over a century, the Miaoli Tai'an Hot Springs continues to enhance its tourism infrastructure and marketing efforts. In collaboration with the Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters, the Hsinchu Branch, the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, the Tai'an Township Office, the Miaoli County Tourism Association, the Miaoli County Tai'an Hot Springs Tourism Development Association, the Miaoli County Camping and Tourism Industry Development Association, the Tai'an Township Tourism and Leisure Industry Strategic Alliance, and local businesses, the region is actively promoting diverse tourism. Events such as the "Spring Persimmon Delights" marketing campaign and the "Tai'an Indigenous Forest Marathon" have been organized to attract more domestic and international visitors to experience the natural beauty of Miaoli while boosting overall tourism revenue.

 

Director of the Culture and Tourism Bureau Lin Yen-Fu emphasized that the Tai'an Hot Springs not only boasts high-quality hot spring facilities and a pristine natural environment but also integrates Atayal indigenous culture, innovative travel experiences, and nearby attractions such as WAKHUL Family Park, foot-soaking pools, and hot spring egg boiling stations. By combining cultural heritage with nature, the Tai'an Hot Springs aims to attract visitors seeking an escape from urban life, inviting them to immerse themselves in the unique "hot spring culture" of Miaoli and experience the rejuvenating benefits of these natural waters.

 

Miaoli County Magistrate Chung Tung-Chin expressed pride in the Tai'an Hot Springs’ success in winning four prestigious Gold Spring Awards, often regarded as the "Oscars" of Taiwan’s hot spring industry. He credited the achievement to the collective efforts of local businesses and the continued support of visitors. The county government remains committed to enhancing Tai'an’s exceptional tourism environment and warmly welcomes travelers from across the country to visit Tai'an for its hot springs, breathtaking scenery, and delectable cuisine, ensuring an unforgettable experience at this remarkable destination.
