The "2024 Summer Classical Music Concert" will be held on Saturday, August 3 at 2:30 PM in Zhongzheng Hall at the Miaoli County Culture and Tourism Bureau. Admission is by ticket only. Tickets will become available at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 20 at the service desks of Miaoli County’s Culture and Tourism Bureau, Visitor Information Center, Zhunan Visitor Information Center, and THSR Miaoli Station Visitor Information Center. Each person is limited to two tickets, while supplies last.
The concert will feature performances by five internationally renowned musicians: violinist Szu-fan Yeh, violist Hung-Tzu Chu, cellist Meng-Hsuan Shieh, South Korean pianist Juyeon Chae, and Singaporean pianist Wei Liu. The program includes such classical pieces as Luigi Boccherini’s String Trio, Schumann's Piano Quartet, Schubert's Symphony No. 8 "Unfinished" (arranged for piano four hands, violin, and cello), and Mendelssohn's Piano Duet.
Cellist Meng-Hsuan Shieh will provide insightful commentary between pieces, explaining the emotion, mood, and historical context of the compositions and the composers' inspirations. These explanations will create an interactive and resonant experience for the audience as they are guided through the lively and serene movements of each classical piece. The concert promises to provide a romantic, relaxing, and enjoyable afternoon filled with beautiful music.
